Clean all over: Vacuum jugs and flasks

Rinsing out your vacuum jug or flask with water after use ensures years of pleasure. Dishwashing liquid is good for stubborn soiling, baking powder is even better:
pour into the jug or flask, …
flowflow …fill with hot water and soak. Rinse jug or flask thoroughly and leave open to dry in the air. To clean the outside of the jug: A quick wipe around the outside is usually enough.

Do not place vacuum jugs in the dishwasher or sink as otherwise water may enter the casing of the jug or flask. This does not damage the jug, however water may seep out at a later undesirable time.

But: Exceptions prove the rule: We have developed the jugs ELEGANZA and EASY CLEAN especially for dishwashers.

For long and warm drinking pleasure

Those of us who only drink small quantities of tea or coffee should use a smaller jug. The better the filling quantity fits into the container, the better the vacuum jug or flask can keep
the beverage warm.
flowflow Which is why we have the appropriate jug size for all requirements – from the small two-cup variant to a pump-action jug that holds three litres.

The right preparation is also a factor: Hot beverages stay hot longer if you rinse out the vacuum jug with hot water before filling the beverage.

The same applies in the summer with cold water for refreshing beverages.

Asbestos – avoid hidden dangers

How can you tell if dangerous asbestos is lurking in a vacuum jug? Quite simple: just look inside the jug before you buy it. If you see small dots – only a few millimetres in size – in the glass, then you’d best put the jug back on the store shelf.
flowflow These dots are spacers – they’re often made of asbestos and are frequently used in mechanically-manufactured vacuum liners from China.

Asbestos will never be hiding in EMSA products – guaranteed! We only use Indian-made liners in our vacuum jugs. Our hand-blown liners are made in one piece – so no spacers are necessary. These are exactly the kind of details that are very important to us – we want you to just relax and enjoy your coffee or tea.

Prevent waterlogging

Has it been raining non-stop for ages and are your balcony plants getting "wet feet"? They don’t like this at all. Come to their rescue quickly by simply drilling a hole in the bottom of their containers.
flowflow For just this reason, our containers have extra punch points. In no time at all, you've made a water overflow and the plants will feel comfortable, even in the rain.

If you don’t have EMSA window boxes, take care with the drill to make sure that container doesn't crack.

In the microwave, gentle is better

Whether for lunch in the office or a quick meal at home – nobody really wants to do without at microwave. Pop in the food, five minutes on high, and done. Stop! …
flowflow … fast heating isn’t good for foods and their nutrients, or for us. Even the plastic containers we use in the microwave sometimes suffer and fall victim to white or orange stains from oils or rice.

As microwave temperatures differ depending on cook time, wattage and food type, we just have one tip: Warm your foods slowly and gently on a lower setting. Save all those nutrients – for your health.

On the wall and cleanly cut

In the triple roll dispenser, foils and kitchen roll have their very own place. Foils and films are automatically fixed in place and then cut perfectly straight by the cutting wheels.
flowflow Cling film and aluminium foil, however, present very different challenges to the blades. Our patented cutting system has two different cutters to keep the blades sharp over time.

So, please take care that the cling film is always in the top slot of the EMSA triple roll dispenser and the foil in the lower slot. It’s a clean cut – guaranteed!
