Award-winning, fan-shaped Opti Grater

A grater which is compact yet as versatile as three – that was enough to convince the jury of the iF International Forum Design: this innovative, fan-shaped Opti Grater has now been voted the winner of the “iF product design award 2012”. Thanks to its unconventional design, superior quality and practical functionality, the grater beat more than 2,900 other entries for the coveted prize.

The Opti Grater is exceptionally space-saving and versatile: whether for grating potatoes, shredding vegetables or shaving chocolate – its three blades open up like a fan: one for each particular task. Without the need for any tedious switching of inserts. The non-slip feet ensure the grater stands firmly throughout. Nice, clean work: the inserts come apart ready for the dishwasher. When this practical tool is folded together again, it is so compact that it fits safely and snugly into any drawer.


The Design Prize is to be presented on 10 February 2012 at the “iF design awards night 2012” in Munich. All award-winning products will also be displayed on the website www.ifdesign.de.
