Versatile mixing bowls…

The refreshing red/white design of Emsa's "new look" bowls has just what it takes to stimulate a fresh enthusiasm for home baking. The secret: the perfect synergy between the red and white plastic, which not only creates a brand new appearance but also adds a practical dimension.

The units of measure for litres and cups are injected into the plastic material in the contrasting colour, making them more easily legible than the scales on conventional mixing-bowls and jugs, as well as being virtually indelible.

The red plastic areas on the base and sides prevent the bowl from slipping in the hand or on the kitchen table. Even when the bowl is tilted and the mixing or kneading process moves into top gear, the non-slip effect is still retained even without the support of the rubber ring on the bottom.

This good all-rounder is available with or without its handy lid: apart from sealing in the aroma of whipped cream etc. kept in the mixing jug in the fridge, the 2-part lid also proves its versatility when combined with the mixing bowls – the transparent ring not only acts as a splash guard for adding ingredients but also provides a clear view of the contents during the mixing stage.

Thanks to its supple outer edges, the red centre section is likewise a perfect fit, so the dough can be allowed to stand undisturbed. Being extremely flexible, this extra lid also doubles as a spatula. The mixing bowls are available in a 2 litre and a 3 litre size, and the mixing jug in the practical 1 litre size.
